Little Doctor Memorize and Understand Quran

Posted on July 20, 2010 by admin
If you are a Muslim, at what age you learn to read the Qur’an, and how many chapters you remember? Generally, Muslim children in Indonesia started to learn to take your lessons at primary school age. First, parents call a religious teacher / ustadzah home to teach his children lessons. But now, as the proliferation of Education Park Qur’an (TPA) and the discovery learning method quickly read the Qur’an, the parents put their children into the landfill to learn to read and write the Quran. The result, Muslim children are now widely literate and memorized the Qur’an Juz Amma (Juz 30), which consists of short-sura-sura easily memorized. But not much TPA products that become hafiz (penghafal Al Quran), because the landfill is not designed to print a hafiz, and programs to be normally handled hafiz Quran Islamic schools.
This book tells the story of an Iranian boy named Sayyid Muhammad Husayn Tabataba’i, who began studying the Koran at the age of two years, and had memorized 30 chapters in the age of 5 years! At the age of sebelia that he was not only able to memorize the entire Qur’an, but also able to translate the meaning of each paragraph into the native language (Persian), understand the meaning of these verses, and can use those verses in everyday conversations.
Even he was able to discover exactly how many page layout of a paragraph, and in the row to how, in the left or the right of the pages of the Qur’an. He was able to sequentially mention first verses of each page of the Qur’an, or mention the verses in a single page in reverse, starting from the last paragraph to the first paragraph (p. 18).
More remarkable that, at the age of 7 years Husein earned a doctorate honoris causa from the Hijaz College Islamic University, England, in February 1998. At that time, Hussein undergoing a test for 210 minutes, in two meetings. Have undergone an examination that includes five fields. Ie, memorizing the Koran and translate them into native languages, explaining topics Qur’an, interpret and explain the verses of the Quran by using other verses, chatting using Koran verses, and explain the meaning of the Qur’an method using hand signals .
After the exam is completed, the team told the examiner that the value achieved by the boy was 93. According to standards established by the Hijaz College, winning 60-70 will be given a certificate of diploma, undergraduate honors 70-80, 80-90 masters of honor, and above 90 honorary doctorates (honoris causa). On February 19, 1998, the Iranian boy to receive a doctoral degree honoris causa in the field of Science of the Retention of The Holy Quran (p. 12-14).
Over in England, Husein was also invited in many assemblies held the local Muslim community. Generally, the audience wanted to test the ability of the magic boy. Uniquely, Husein answer all questions by quoting verses of the Quran. For example, in one forum someone asked, “What do you think about Western culture?” Hussein replied, “(They) wasted prayers and indulge his desires.” (Sura 19:59).
Another questioner asked, “What did Imam Khomeini against Iran?” Hussein explained, “(He) dispose of their burdens and the fetters that exist on them.” (Sura 7:15). That is, in the reign of the monarchy, shackled and oppressed Iranian people. Then Imam Khomeini led the revolution to liberate people from bondage and oppression. (P. 19)
Reading this book not only amazed at the magical ability of a Sayyid Muhammad Husayn Tabataba’i, which by the Iranians was dubbed the “miracle of the 20th century.” But most important is knowing the Koran educational process which he lived so that it can master the contents of Scripture in a young age.
For the case of Hussein, Al-Quran educational process has started since he was still in the womb. Husein parents married when they were each aged 17 years, and after marrying the two together trying to memorize the Koran. Determination had finally achieved six years later, when they managed to memorize the Quran Juz 30. In the process of memorizing it, they form a special group of Koran memorization. Within the group, in a regular and programmed, parents Hussein and his associates are also willing to memorize the Qur’an, together repeating rote, evaluate and add rote. Husein Parents also established classes Quran lessons followed by the lovers in the Quran.
Along with learning activities and teaching the Koran parents, Hussein and his siblings grew up. Husein since childhood always encouraged his mother to attend Koran classes. Although in these classes Husein just sit and listen, but he turned out to absorb the lesson content. At the age of 2 years 4 months, Hussein had to memorize Juz-30 (Juz Amma) autodidact, the results of her routine in following her mother who became penghafal activities and teaching the Qur’an, and the activities of his brothers in their rote repetition. Seeing a special talent Hussein, his father, Sayyid Muhammad Mahdi Tabataba’i, too seriously teach Quran recitation juz to-29.
After Hussein managed to memorize Juz-29, he began to be taught by rote the first chapters of his father. Initially, the father using normal methods, ie, read the verses to be memorized, usually half a page in a day and every week. But his father realized that such a method has two problems. First, the inability Husein reading the Quran makes it very dependent on her father in repeating the verses that have been memorized.
Second, the method conventionally Quran memorization is very ‘dry’ and is not suitable for children aged under five psychological. In addition, Hussein could not understand well the meaning of the verses are memorized as many abstract concepts, which are difficult to understand children under five.
To solve the first problem, Hussein began reading the Quran taught, so he could check himself hafalannya. To solve the second problem, Hussein’s father created his own method to teach the meaning of the verses of the Qur’an, that is by using hand signals. For example, the word of God, the hand pointing upward, said yuhibbu (love), like a hand holding something, and said sulh (peace), two hands holding each other.
Husein’s father will usually tell you the meaning of a paragraph as a whole with a simple language to Hussein. Then he will say the verses while performing hand movements that suggest the meaning of the verse.
This method is so influential on the progress of Hussein in control of the verses of the Koran that he was easily able to translate the verses into Persian and are able to use those verses in everyday conversations (p. 21-26).
Readers also need to listen recognition Tabataba’i Sayyid Muhammad Mahdi, who refuses to say his opinion is special. According to Mahdi, Hussein has the ability above average, and every child could be educated to have the ability like Hussein. But, of course, the precondition and condition must be complete. For example, since before the pregnancy, both parents Husein has started memorizing the Qur’an. During pregnancy and lactation, the mother of Hussein also regularly read holy verses to his son. And since childhood Hussein was raised in an environment that love Al Quran.
Husein Father also says, if parents want their children to be lovers penghafal Koran and the Koran, the first step that must be done first is parents also love the Koran and read it diligently at home. Hussein could face the world since her eyes have seen the Qur’an, listening to reading the Qur’an, and eventually become familiar with the Koran (p. 38-40).
When viewed from the current age of Husein who was stepping 16 years, this book was published late spelled. Should have been published nine years ago, when the seven-year-old Hussein and obtained doctorate honoris causa from the Hijaz College Islamic University.
Although figures are not written by a kid again, but the book is still interesting to read, especially for families who dream of generations of Quranic Muslims, who love to live according to the Koran and guidance of the Qur’an.
Reading this book can add to the motivation for the more loving Muslim family Al-Quran. Not only parents, children also need to read it because they can motivate exemplary Husein increasingly keen to learn the Quran. Gratitude can be thankful hafiz little like Sayyid Muhammad Husayn Tabataba’i.
For teenagers, the need to carefully look at the message Husein about a teenager’s perspective on the Qur’an. According to him, the view of a teenager against the Koran to be like the view of the perfume. When we left the house, of course we always want to smell and use perfume. We also have to try it the spirit by reading and experiencing the Quran. A teenager, Hussein said, should keep a Koran in his chest so that little by little and the conversation behavior is influenced by the Qur’an.
